Elijah Moore might be traded before the season by the Cleveland Browns in an attempt to mix things up in the wide receiver group.
Moore is one of three Browns players that might be dealt before the season, according to Shane Shoemaker of ClutchPoints. Running back D’Onta Foreman and quarterback Tyler Huntley were the others.
“It was quite evident that the Browns were dissatisfied with the wide receiver output they had from the previous campaign,” Shoemaker wrote. “They went and traded for Jerry Jeudy with the Denver Broncos to help with that.” They now have Amari Cooper, the top receiver from the previous season, David Njoku, and Jeudy as their key three.
What then becomes of Elijah Moore? The former wide receiver for the New York Jets was initially acquired by the Browns in a trade last season. Additionally, even though he had a career-best season last year with 59 catches, 640 yards, and two touchdowns, he can still be tradeable.
Teams who are looking for wide receivers may take an interest in Moore. And for the appropriate amount, the Browns will answer the phone. Cleveland’s depth behind Cooper, Jeudy, and Moore, their top three players, is lacking, though. Furthermore, Cleveland believes Moore has more to offer.

Moore received backlash when he skipped the Browns’ first round of optional workouts in May. The pass-catcher in his fourth season is about to enter a contract year. He signed a four-year, $8.9 million rookie contract with the Jets, which is now in its last year. Under new coordinator Ken Dorsey, the Browns are also implementing a new offensive scheme.
Moore sent an intriguing comment on social media in response to some of the backlash.

Cedric Tillman, a second-year receiver, has gained some momentum throughout the offseason after working harder than usual while Moore was out. Stefanski exclaimed on Tillman’s growth since his first season.
“I don’t think Ced was absent from the offseason program day. He was present each and every day. That’s why I know he grew better,” Stefanski remarked on June 13. “And I believe he improved in the weight room, in the conference room, and most definitely on the grass.”
The disagreement between the Browns and Cooper relates to their wide receiver room at the moment. Little progress has been made in the Pro Bowl pass-catcher’s request for an extension.
