Five-Star OT Target for the Texas Longhorns Declares Commitment With….

The Texas Longhorns are definitely in the running for offensive lineman Michael Fasusi, a five-star prospect.

After losing out on Oregon last week on five-star wide receiver Dakorien Moore, the Texas Longhorns need a significant victory in the recruiting process.

The Horns will not have to wait much longer for him to make his decision, as it looks like they are in excellent shape for one of their primary objectives.

Five-star offensive lineman Michael Fasusi of Lewisville, Texas, disclosed his commitment date on Friday, according to On3’s Hayes Fawcett. On August 21, he will select between the Texas Longhorns, Texas A&M Aggies, Oregon Ducks, Oklahoma Sooners, and Missouri Tigers.

Fasusi’s strong rapport with the coaching staff is a major reason why he likes the Longhorns.

“I’ve been to Texas a lot; I love it, man.” My family and I am always impressed by them. When we go down there, it’s always love; there’s never a nasty vibe or nothing at all,” Fasusi said to Simmons. “I genuinely believe that Coach Flood is one of the men that can help me reach my desired goal of being in the NFL. I absolutely adore Texas because Coach Sark is always emailing my family and myself and telling them how much he cares.

According to the On3 Industry Ranking, Fasusi is now ranked No. 12 in the country, No. 3 as an offensive lineman, and No. 5 in the state of Texas. His best ratings come from ESPN and Rivals.com, where he is rated as the nation’s third-best offensive lineman and ninth-best player overall.
