Sandro Mamukelashvili: “I Love Being [in San Antonio]”
Following the conclusion of the 2023-24 season, Mamukelashvili discussed his approaching free agency. The Seton Hall alum eventually became a restricted free agent, which meant he was likely to return to the team, but Mamukelashvili has stated that he sees a future in San Antonio nonetheless.
Despite a poor start, Mamukelashvili finished the 2023-24 season on a positive note. Mamukelashvili started five of the season’s last eight games. Throughout this period, he averaged 11.4 points, 9.9 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game. Furthermore, he hit 47.25 percent from the field and 37% from three-point range.
The 25-year-old has showed signs of promise and should be a valuable role player for the Spurs next season.

Bassey appeared in San Antonio’s opening 19 games last season. The big guy averaged 10.8 minutes per game and was progressively taking on a greater role.
