Five Responses to ESPN’s Chicago Bulls Pivot Story (also known as The Zach LaVine Insult by Anonymous)
In a piece released on Tuesday, ESPN’s Jamal Collier offers a detailed look at Arturas Karnisovas and Marc Eversley, the front office leaders of the Chicago Bulls, as they work to reorganize their roster for the 2024–2025 NBA season.
Many storylines, including Zach LaVine’s friendship with Billy Donovan, the Bulls’ choice to forego a rebuild during the 2023–24 season, and the specific goals the team has set for themselves this summer, are entwined around Karnisovas and Eversley.
How long will it take to “turn this thing around”? Does that timeframe take into consideration the quick speed at which other NBA teams have improved their rosters?
Bulls supporters should hope that the front-office leadership group is subjected to increased scrutiny and responsibility coming into the 2024–25 season. To be honest, it’s strange that four seasons into their leadership, Marc Eversley and Arturas Karnisovas are still living in the past rather than aiming for a new era with the Bulls.
