Bulls 2024 NBA Free Agency Grades For Every Signing
The Chicago Bulls’ top management made it plain that they realized adjustments had to be made after the team concluded yet another forgettable season in April. Although not much has happened in the offseason thus far, Chicago promised to make moves, and they have. Even while not all of them have been embraced by the fan base, it is encouraging to see that the front office is making an effort to adapt. That’s something that Bulls supporters have long desired.
This Bulls team has added a few new players thus far, but there will probably be more adjustments made before the regular season begins. Additionally, they lost a few players. The Bulls lost Alex Caruso and DeMar DeRozan, but they gained Josh Giddey, Jalen Smith, and Chris Duarte. Patrick Williams was also re-signed by the Bulls. The decisions Chicago has made this offseason are ranked as follows:
Giddey Josh Alex Caruso trade
A lot of Bulls fans were unhappy about this. It wasn’t surprising that Chicago sent Alex Caruso away via a trade, but it’s surprising that they settled for just Josh Giddey in the trade. Giddey doesn’t really have any of the offensive attributes that the Bulls are looking for, but he is a lot younger than Caruso, and they are building a young team.
The Bulls appear to stand to gain a great deal from this move. Jalen Smith is going to be a crucial element of the Bulls’ youthful core, and he will fit right in with them. Chicago wants him to improve on his greatest three-point shooting year, in which he hit 42% from beyond the arc. In addition, he is large and athletic. Excellent win for the Bulls.
