One of the best basketball players competing for the United States in the Olympics in Paris this year is Stephen Curry. Despite this, he has solidified his position as one of the NBA’s top shooters. His diverse skill set has also been very helpful to the squad anytime he is needed.

Curry’s selection for the American team playing in the world cup in France shows that head coach Sam Kerr and the coaching staff have faith in his talents. Furthermore, they see the Golden State Warriors guard as a major weapon in their ambitious plans to win Olympic gold, together with seasoned Olympians like LeBron James and Kevin Durant.

Even so, Stephen Curry hasn’t taken a break from his role as one of the team’s best players. The 36-year-old is shown in a video going viral on social media hitting amazing, crazy shots while practicing. In the widely shared video, Curry is shown making three “top of the arc” long shots, much to his teammates’ surprise and ensuing cheers.

As he made each long-range shot on the floor, Curry was also spotted excitedly dancing, causing his teammates to stop what they were doing to watch him.

Steph Curry had trouble with the gun against South Sudan.

Team USA faced a lowly-ranked South Sudanese team shortly after they began their quest for the gold medal at the Paris Olympics. Prior to the Group C encounter at Pierre Mauroy Stadium, a lot of supporters thought the South Sudanese were easily defeated by the highly skilled Americans. The USA did indeed win with a score of 103-86, as expected.

However, the outcome demonstrated that it was a closely contested match, as Team South Sudan led Curry and Co. for the most of the match until losing. Curry’s struggles against their opponents that evening dominated the news, raising concerns among many Warriors supporters about whether the point guard is faltering.

Curry concluded with a very low three points on one of his nine field goal attempts. Curry failed to shoot the ball for the most of the game, despite his remarkable ability to shoot from beyond the arc. In 21 minutes against South Sudan, he managed to register 0 successful balls out of 6 attempted balls from deep. But in the end, Jayson Tatum’s incredible dunk with help from Stephen Curry gave the fans something to cheer about.
