Astonishing report provides a wealth of information on the Chicago Bulls, including the signing of a new, highly-rated player today.

The Chicago Bulls’ strategy for the point guard position in the 2024–25 campaign has been made public, and it may surprise a lot of fans.

For the Bulls, this summer has been more about removal than adding. Regrettably, DeMar DeRozan left them in free agency. The player that Chicago supporters loved, Alex Caruso, was traded away. Moreover, there have been speculations that they are exerting a lot of effort to relocate Nikola Vucevic and Zach LaVine.

But as September approaches and the team prepares for training camp, the point guard position will once again be a hot topic. Chicago was a force in the league and one of the surprises in 2021–22, especially with former lottery choice Lonzo Ball leading the attack. But once he suffered a permanent knee injury, the Bulls’ fortunes declined over the following two and a half seasons.

Ball was never truly replaced because they kept thinking he would come back. Well, the 26-year-old may make a comeback this season after missing all of 2022’s games.

The Chicago Sun-Times said this week that “the Bulls confirmed that Ball has started playing in full-contact 5-on-5 scrimmages— as he was scheduled to do once August arrived— and, according to one source, has done so with no setbacks.”

Ball appears to be getting closer to playing again, but it is not anticipated that the talented point guard would take back his position as the team’s starting point guard. The Chicago Bulls received Josh Giddey, a 2021 lottery pick, in exchange for Caruso. And according to the Sun-Times, the adaptable swingman—rather than Ball—is anticipated to be their primary ball handler in the upcoming campaign.

The Bulls were all in on Giddey as the primary ball handler from the minute they got him in the Thunder’s deal for Alex Caruso, according to a team source, the site stated. They think he’s kind of like Lonzo Ball.

“A point guard with positional height who can attack the opposition defense by attacking their defense and rebounding the ball quickly by maintaining his own dribble or making incredible outlet passes.”

If Ball can demonstrate that he has regained the form that propelled the Bulls to the top six in the East three seasons prior, it will be intriguing to watch how things pan out.
