Multiple Chicago White Sox manager candidates to keep an eye on in 2025 are revealed by an MLB source.

Sizemore certainly doesn’t have much of a chance to manage the White Sox in 2025—he was not too far off from being an intern with the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2023. Still, there are already a few Chicago-based names to watch out for.

Potential White Sox managers were extensively explored by Jon Greenberg of The Athletic, who brought attention to a number of individuals who may be on the team’s radar as well as others who probably won’t get much of a look.

A.J. Pierzynsky, a former White Sox catcher, is not the only person connected to the position. Skip Schumaker has also been linked to the White Sox as a viable possibility for Chicago; in fact, some people believe he is the front-runner to take over as captain of the team in 2025.

But there are many more names to be aware of. Those connected to front office manager Tony La Russa include Miguel Cairo, the bench coach for the Washington Nationals, and Schumaker.

Significant talk has also linked former White Sox players to the opening. One possible choice that Greenberg mentioned was Willie Harris, who is currently the third base coach for the Chicago Cubs. Remember that Harris had an interview with the White Sox in 2020, but La Russa ended up getting the position.

Chicago would also consider bringing in a television personality, such as Gordon Beckham or perhaps Ozzie Guillen for a reunion, according to Greenberg. Regarding candidates outside the organization, Clayton McCullough of the Los Angeles Dodgers, former New York Yankees captain Joe Girardi, and bench coach Paul Hoover of the Kansas City Royals may potentially be taken into consideration.
