One more day…one more injury Chicago Bulls’ Most Skilled Player Is Removed Following Dangerous HBP Today
On January 14, 2022, point guard Lonzo Ball of the Chicago Bulls made his NBA debut. It has been almost two years since the 26-year-old guard last played in the NBA, but it appears like he will be back for the 2024–2025 campaign.
Ball’s career has been interrupted by injuries in recent years. In his debut season with Chicago, he appeared in 35 games, spanning from October 20, 2021, to January 14, 2022. Ball hasn’t played since exiting the floor at the United Center after the Golden State Warriors defeated him.
Is Lonzo Ball coming back this year?
Prior to the 2022–2023 season, he received his first arthroscopic debridement, which everyone thought would resolve any remaining knee problems. Later, Chicago declared him ineligible for the whole season due to persistent pain in the knee that had been surgically repaired. He later had a cartilage transplant in his left knee, which contributed to his absence from the NBA in 2023–2024.
Thankfully, Ball was given the all-clear by the Bulls medical staff to resume practicing five-on-five scrimmages in January. Ball is giving even more optimism for the future after taking a crucial step toward his NAB comeback.
