Sad News:::: JUST IN Crews Respond To 63-Acre Fire Along Colorado River between Laughlin, Bullhead City 5 Where Dead
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The Clark County Fire Department (CCFD) remains in unified command with the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) and the National Park Service (NPS) on a 63-acre fire along the Colorado River between Laughlin and Bullhead City.
According to CCFD, the large brush fire created smoke that could be seen for miles, but due to favorable winds, it did not threaten structures.
Officials said the fire was quickly brought under control with the assistance of helicopter drops from nearby Arizona BLM aviation resources.
Crews have worked to create a perimeter around the fire, andit is containedwhile still smoldering on the interior fire footprint.

This fire response utilized interagency coordination and cooperation from all responding agencies.
Clark County responded with four engines, three water tenders, one rescue, and two chief officers.
Bullhead City responded with two engines, and NPS responded with one engine and one chief officer. USFS responded with one engine, and BLM responded with two engines and a helicopter.
