Paul Finebaum’s Direct Take on “Panicking” College Football Powerhouse Fans

After Alabama’s game against South Florida was closer than anticipated, Finebaum isn’t concerned about Alabama.
Despite the overwhelming final score, Alabama’s victory over South Florida did not instill confidence in the Crimson Tide fan base.

Despite scoring 28 points in the fourth quarter, Alabama triumphed 42–16. In the last six minutes, the Tide scored three touchdowns to secure the win.

Last season, Alabama and South Florida squared off, with the Tide emerging victorious 17-3. That game was close until the last 30 seconds, with Alabama leading by only one point.

During an interview on “McElroy and Cubelic in the Morning” on Monday, Finebaum stated, “I think Alabama fans ought to learn what we all learned a year ago.” “Any analysis, viewpoint, or hot take over a matchup with South Florida is entirely useless, as we gained no insight from the encounter last year. Furthermore, it came out that Alabama had won according to the score, which I learned from friends who were in a frenzy on Saturday night. It seems like an easy victory. Since it wasn’t, as we all know, it really doesn’t matter in the slightest.

A victory is a victory, and according to the most recent AP Poll, Alabama is still the nation’s fourth-ranked team. This week, a 2-0 Wisconsin squad awaits Jalen Milroe and company on the road in a more difficult test.

Finebaum remarked, “I know it sounds like I’m just wiping it away, but sometimes that happens.” “I think it’s excellent that Alabama was able to win the fourth quarter in such a dominant way.

“There are problems. We normally do this occasionally, but last week we read entirely too much into it. Moving on and traveling to a game they should win is the most crucial thing.”

According to ESPN BET, the Tide are a 16-point away favorite against the Badgers.
