According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, safety Terrell Edmunds is rejoining with the franchise that selected him as he signs with the Pittsburgh Steelers from the Jacksonville Jaguars practice squad. Edmunds was chosen by the Pittsburgh Steelers with the 28th overall selection out of Virginia Tech in the first round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Edmunds played in 79 games with the Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of five years with the team. Edmunds has 410 total tackles, five sacks, five interceptions,
and 26 pass deflections in his career with the organization. Edmund re-signed with the Steelers in 2022 on a one-year contract after the team had previously rejected his fifth-year option in 2021. Edmunds signed a contract with the Philadelphia Eagles following his sixth season with the Steelers. Before being moved to the Tennessee Titans, he started the 2023 season with the Eagles. He signed a contract with the Jaguars in May 2024, after the 2023 season. Edmunds will now make his second appearance with the Steelers. Steelers victory is 1-0. Johnston punted twice for the Steelers before he was injured. On his two punts, he averaged 51.5 yards with a long of 58 yards. Johnston did not just punt but also acted as Chris Boswell’s holder. Boswell scored every point for the Steelers during the game, including three field goals that were longer than fifty yards,
and was a key component of their triumph on Sunday. To ensure that their kicking team doesn’t skip a beat, the Steelers will be hoping that Waitman can get along with Boswell right away. Waitman, who was a member of the Steelers in 2021, rejoins the group. Waitman had two appearances in 2021 for the Steelers, punting seven times for an average of 52.1 yards per contest.
