WNBA Legend Rebecca Lobo Gives Caitlin Clark A Reality Check About The Playoffs
Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever are undoubtedly one of the WNBA’s most entertaining teams right now, if not the most. After securing a playoff place for the first time since 2018,
this team is well on their path to making the postseason. Even with their blazing hot streak—they are 8-2 since returning from the month-long Olympic break—this team’s postseason prospects are about to grow much more difficult. As the WNBA Playoffs approach, WNBA legend Rebecca Lobo recently brought Clark and Co. to task by pointing out just this. Lobo stated, “I think, obviously, they’re not only in the postseason,” on the ESPN program
“NBA Today” that aired on September 9. “I think they can win a first-round matchup depending on who they play. “… Of course, the main issue for Indiana is that they had never made it to the playoffs, as you were able to hear Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston laughing about on the platform.
The starting lineup for them has never played in the playoffs together. Only nine playoff games have been played by their whole roster. “So that’s the question: how will they handle going up against those upper teams that have been there collectively 200 times?” is what has to be asked when they reach those crucial moments.
Lobo is certain that the Fever will have a significant postseason impact. The WNBA Hall of Famer even thinks they have what it takes to upset in the first round.
