Responders arrive at a 63-acre brush fire between Laughlin and Bullhead City near the Colorado River.
LAS VEGAS (KSNV) – Regarding a 63-acre fire along the Colorado River between Laughlin and Bullhead City, the National Park Service (NPS), the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), and the Clark County Fire Department (CCFD) continue to exercise unified command.

The massive brush fire, according to CCFD, produced smoke that was visible for miles, but it did not pose a threat to any buildings because of the favorable winds.

According to officials, the fire was swiftly contained thanks to helicopter drops from the neighboring Arizona BLM aviation resources.

The fire is confined but still burning on the inside fire footprint thanks to the efforts of the crews who tried to build a perimeter around it.

The fire may still be producing smoke, but firefighters will stay on the area all night to make sure no hot spots rekindle.

All responding agencies collaborated and coordinated across agencies during this fire response
