On Sunday, though, Johnson sustained a non-contact leg injury during the Jets’ game against the Tennessee Titans.
The standout edge rusher for the Jets was taken off the field after the injury.
The former Florida State standout is having a worrisome moment because when he went down with an injury, he wasn’t dealing with any contact in the trenches or anything else. It’s not nice to see the Pro Bowl edge rusher taken off the field.

The former Florida State standout was hurt during a fierce struggle between the two teams, which had the score tied 17–17 in the third quarter. Johnson’s primary concern is that he could have an Achilles issue, but further testing and time will be required to confirm this.
After recording 10 career sacks in his first two NFL seasons, Johnson went into his third season full of buzz and expectations that he would become an even bigger celebrity. He has 86 total tackles in his Jets career, so if he is sidelined for an extended period of time, his services will be much missed.
