Miami Heat’s Highly Esteemed Coveted Five-Star Declared His Allegiance To The Boston Celtics Because

If the Miami Heat’s regular season doesn’t start off as expected, star forward Jimmy Butler may find himself in a new place sooner rather than later.

Recently, Bleacher Report floated a sensational trade proposal that would have sent Butler to the Houston Rockets in return for a sizable deal that included No. 2 selection Jalen Green. In exchange for this possible transaction, Miami would also acquire Dillon Brooks, Cam Whitmore, Jeff Green, a 2027 first-round selection (via PHX), and a 2028 first-round pick.

It is not in the Rockets’ best interest to trade away Green unless they want to contend for a championship the following year. The 22-year-old’s inconsistent start to his career is overshadowing the All-Star caliber of performance he displayed in the second half of last year. In 82 games during the previous season, he averaged 19.6 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 42.3 percent shooting. He still has a great opportunity to develop into the cornerstone of the Rockets’ club.

Tyler Herro and Green as a backcourt duo should lead the Heat in a different direction. Due to their preference for less-than-ideal looks, both score-first guards have subpar efficiency. With Green leading the team and All-Star Bam Adebayo in tow, the Heat would require a secondary deal involving Herro to contend.
