Following their surprising victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, the Denver Broncos made the decision to bolster their defensive line.

The Broncos are adding free agent linebacker Kwon Alexander to their practice squad, as reported by ESPN source Adam Schefter.

Veteran linebackers Alex Singleton, Cody Barton, Nik Bonitto, and Jonathan Cooper lead Denver’s current linebacker corps.

Considering that Singleton and Barton have each registered more than 120 tackles in their careers, they are the two most prolific players.

When Alexander was a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2016, he led the NFL in solo tackles (108).

He was chosen for his first and only Pro Bowl the following season.

The current head coach of the Broncos, Sean Payton, and the former LSU Tiger were teammates for a portion of two seasons in New Orleans with the Saints (2020–2021).

As he enters his tenth NFL season, Alexander is starting to resemble a journeyman.

He has played for six different teams during his career; the Broncos are the fourth that he has played for in the previous four years.

For a squad that is constantly looking for new leaders, it might be crucial if he can ever make it to the active roster and offer this group any kind of depth.
