The Los Angeles Dodgers invaded enemy territory as the squad took on the San Diego Padres at Petco Park in Game 3 of the NLDS. After some pyrotechnics between the teams in Game 2, Padres supporters greeted Dodgers manager Dave Roberts with ruthlessness. In Game 3, the Padres held on to take a commanding 2-1 lead over LA with the series level at one.

Pitching strategies for the Game 4 against the Padres are revealed by Dave Roberts.DO YOU THINK THIS HAS ANY CHANCE OF WORKING?

After three innings, the score was 6-4, and it seemed like the spectators would be in for a high-scoring game. However, because both teams had strong bullpens, the game plan changed from being an offensive display to a pitchers’ battle. And with Roberts indicating that Game 4 would be a bullpen game for Los Angeles, the Dodgers will once again rely on their relievers, according to Dodgers Insider on X.

After Teoscar Hernandez blasted a grand slam in the third inning, neither club was able to score any more runs. Hernandez hit a long drive with the bases loaded to tie the game at five runs after the Padres scored six runs in the second inning.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts as the Dodgers will turn to the bullpen for Game 4 of the NLDS against the Padres hoping pitching can keep the team alive in the playoffs.

The Dodgers’ bullpen will be hard at work against the Padres in a crucial Game 4 matchup.

Walker Buehler, the starting pitcher for the Dodgers, battled through five innings, giving up six runs on seven hits and one walk. All six of San Diego’s runs were scored in the second inning as they feasted on Buehler. For the next seven innings, though, the Dodgers were untouchable. The Dodgers managed to stay in the game thanks to three innings of shutout ball by Buehler, which was followed by three innings of shutout ball by Anthony Banda, Daniel Hudson, and Michael Kopech. But after a strong third inning, the Padres’ pitchers were outstanding as well, keeping LA from tying the game.

After Manny Machado threw a ball at LA’s dugout and fans threw baseballs at Jurickson Profar, the Dodgers lost a dreadful Game 2. Machado’s toss, according to Roberts, was “unsettling.” It’s not apparent, though, if the incident was truly worthy of the Dodgers’ level of concern.

On Wednesday night, Los Angeles will visit San Diego for Game 4. While the Padres want to win and advance to the Championship Series against the victor of the Mets and Phillies NLDS, the Dodgers will be depending on their bullpen to salvage their season. With their victory on Tuesday, the Mets now lead the series 2-1.
