An NFL game was streamed illegally by a Seahawks player.

Despite earning a seven-figure paycheck as an NFL player, Tariq Woolen’s behavior during Sunday’s game would have you believing otherwise.

In Week 7, the Seattle Seahawks went to Atlanta to play the Falcons. Due to an ankle ailment, Woolen was unable to accompany his squad on the trip. Naturally, he watched the game, but the cornerback used an illicit streaming site to do so.

On his Instagram account, Woolen posted some of his thoughts following Seattle’s 34–14 victory over the Falcons. As a result, some fans became aware that Woolen was using an unauthorized stream to watch the game. In response, the third-year player wrote “it’s free it’s for me” on X.

It is unlikely that the NFL will be pleased if one of its own workers watches a game via an unapproved channel. The same streaming service’s fans weren’t pleased either.

because Woolen made such a big fuss over it.

The expense of game tickets has led to some lawsuits against the NFL. Others, like Woolen on Sunday, just find a way around it.

It wouldn’t be shocking if a stop and desist letter was on its way, given how much Woolen has drawn attention to that specific stream.

After being selected in the fifth round from UTSA, Woolen has already recorded eight tackles and one interception in five games this season. He made the Pro Bowl as a rookie in 2022 and played in 16 games the previous season.
