JUST IN: CeeDee Lamb’s Remark Is Increasing Conjecture About His Prospects With The Dallas Cowboys

After Sunday’s 30-24 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, Dallas Cowboys cornerback Trevon Diggs made headlines—and not in a good way. On his way back to the locker room after the final whistle, the 26-year-old defensive back went looking for Mike Leslie of WFAA ABC 8 Dallas to confront him about a tweet he had made during the third quarter of Sunday’s game. When Leslie questioned Diggs’ effort on a 43-yard reception by 49ers tight end George Kittle that placed the 49ers in scoring position, Diggs became irate and confronted the reporter about the event. Diggs recently stated that he believed his actions were entirely appropriate, and he seemed to have no remorse about them 24 hours after the event.

Diggs stated on the podcast “The Edge with Micah Parsons” that “I just felt like it was unnecessary.” It seemed to me that he was attempting to leverage my name to get clicks. I happened to notice it after the game, clicked on it, and saw who it was. I thought, “Oh, he’s right here.” I approached him and just expressed my feelings. “I simply let my feelings to overcome me. Ultimately, though, it still doesn’t justify somebody saying anything or attempting to discredit you and give the impression that you’re doing poorly because I felt like I gave it my all.”

Leslie reportedly posted a video of Diggs walking slowly down the sideline for about 30 yards on the play in question, with little attempt to stop Kittle. When he saw Leslie outside the Cowboys locker room, yelling at him that he didn’t understand football and that he should remain in his lane, the former Alabama great lost his temper.
