The Bills’ Josh Allen Discusses His Contract After the Trade Deadline

The Buffalo Bills made the decision to remain with their present group until Tuesday’s trade deadline after their victory on Sunday improved their record to 7-2. The Bills did not make any significant deals, despite signing two more defensive tackles. A few weeks prior, Buffalo made a huge trade with the Cleveland Browns to acquire Pro Bowl receiver Amari Cooper. General manager Brandon Beane had stated after the trade that the squad will continue to be aggressive in the market in search of additional acquisitions. Needless to say, nothing materialized. Star quarterback Josh Allen shared his opinion on the team’s lack of major additions after the deadline. “I know [Beane] trusts the guys in this room,” Allen stated. “We’ve got a lot of love and a lot of faith in each other in this building, and ultimately that’s the only thing that matters.”

Even if the team’s complacency may disappoint some supporters, they are now the No. 2 seed in the AFC with nine weeks left and lead the AFC East by four games. The Bills’ offense has been more potent in recent weeks with the acquisition of Cooper, scoring 30 points or more in three consecutive games. In each of those games, Allen has also thrown 200 yards and at least two touchdowns.
