In 2024, he declined offensively after hitting 43 home runs in the previous two seasons. Siri usually strikes out and has trouble getting on base. He struck out 170 times while slashing.187/.255/.366 for a.620 OPS and 76 OPS+ last year.
The likelihood is that Siri will bat near the bottom of the order.
Orze, who made his major league debut in 2024, was acquired by the Rays. In two games, the 2020 fifth-round selection gave up four runs. Orze, however, recorded a 2.92 ERA in 43 Triple-A games.
