In a surprising turn of events, the New York Mets’ prospects of re-signing star first baseman Pete Alonso have been revitalized following a reported stall in negotiations between Alonso and the Toronto Blue Jays. Mets owner Steve Cohen has swiftly re-engaged in discussions, aiming to bring the prolific slugger back to Queens.
