Leeds United are reportedly eyeing a powerful new goalscorer ahead of the summer transfer window, according to recent reports.
Leeds Seeking a New Striker
Currently leading the Championship table, Leeds look on course for a return to the Premier League next season. If they secure promotion, it will mark their first top-flight campaign under 49ers Enterprises’ ownership. To ensure long-term Premier League survival, significant squad reinforcements are expected.
One key area of focus for manager Daniel Farke will be the attacking department. With limited options up front and heavy reliance on Joel Piroe, Leeds are in need of a new number nine—especially as Patrick Bamford’s future at the club remains uncertain.
TEAMtalk recently reported that Leeds have added Sunderland’s Wilson Isidor to their shortlist following his impressive performances in the Championship. They are also monitoring Evann Guessand of Nice, who has netted nine goals in Ligue 1 this season. Additionally, Southampton’s Cameron Archer remains a prime target, though Leeds may still pursue a more traditional center-forward, as Archer is capable of playing across the front line.
49ers Aiming to Sign £90k-per-Week “Monster”
Alongside Isidor and Guessand, TBR Football claims Leeds are also interested in Tammy Abraham. However, they face stiff competition for his signature.
Abraham is currently on loan at AC Milan from Roma, but with Milan recently signing Santiago Gimenez, a permanent move appears unlikely. As a result, the 26-year-old could be available for transfer this summer and is reportedly keen on a return to the Premier League.
Several English clubs—including Newcastle, Nottingham Forest, Fulham, Everton, and West Ham—are also monitoring the situation. However, Leeds’ chances of signing the forward would hinge on securing promotion. Roma originally paid Chelsea £34 million for Abraham in 2021, though it remains unclear how much they would demand now, given his contract runs until 2027.
Abraham’s 2024/25 Serie A Stats

Earning €110k per week (£90k), Abraham previously described himself as a “monster” in 2021, crediting José Mourinho for his transformation. While he has struggled for form in Milan this season, his record of 26 goals in 89 Premier League games suggests he could bring much-needed top-flight quality to Leeds’ squad next season.
