Leeds United are pushing for promotion, a factor that could significantly influence the quality of players they can attract to Elland Road in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Crucial Showdown at Bramall Lane
Leeds face a pivotal Championship clash on Monday night, with Daniel Farke’s side currently leading the table by two points. Their closest challengers, Sheffield United, sit just behind them in the race for automatic promotion.
The two sides are set to face off at Bramall Lane, and a victory for Leeds would see them extend their lead to five points with just 12 matches remaining in the season.
Championship Promotion Race Standings:
- Leeds United – 72 points
- Sheffield United – 70 points
- Burnley – 68 points
- Sunderland – 62 points
Speaking ahead of the top-of-the-table clash, Farke revealed that winger Manor Solomon is a doubt for the match, saying: “It will be a real race, but he is more or less the only question mark.” Meanwhile, Patrick Bamford and Maximilian Wober remain sidelined, though Leeds have sufficient squad depth to cover their absences.
At this stage, securing promotion remains the club’s top priority before shifting focus to summer reinforcements. The level of their transfer activity will largely depend on whether they secure a return to the Premier League.
Recently, Leeds have been linked with high-profile targets such as AC Milan loanee Tammy Abraham and Sunderland’s Wilson Isidor. Now, Farke has identified another attacking option who has been in exceptional form this season.
Leeds United Target Celtic’s Nicolas Kuhn
According to The Boot Room, Leeds are interested in signing Celtic forward Nicolas Kuhn, who has been outstanding for the Scottish giants both domestically and in European competition.
The 25-year-old has racked up 18 goals and 12 assists under Brendan Rodgers this season, including impressive strikes against RB Leipzig and Bayern Munich during Celtic’s Champions League campaign.
With promotion in sight, Leeds are already laying the groundwork for potential summer signings, and Kuhn has emerged as a key target for the club.
