Nottingham Forest are reportedly interested in signing a “complete” forward after scouting him recently. However, they are expected to face stiff competition from several Premier League rivals.
Forest Preparing for Summer Transfers
Forest have exceeded expectations this season, pushing for a Champions League spot in what has been a remarkable Premier League campaign. Their primary challenge this summer may be retaining their top players, but they are also looking to strengthen their squad.
Manager Nuno Espírito Santo appears particularly keen on bolstering the attacking department, with several forwards being linked to a move to the City Ground.
Forest Competing for Luis Henrique
According to The Boot Room, Nottingham Forest have identified Marseille forward Luis Henrique as a potential signing. The Brazilian has impressed in Ligue 1 this season, sparking interest from multiple clubs.
Henrique’s performances have even put him in contention for a Brazil national team call-up. Along with Forest, Newcastle United and Everton have also been monitoring the 23-year-old, setting up a possible transfer battle in the summer.
Henrique Shining at Marseille
Marseille manager Roberto De Zerbi has been full of praise for Henrique, recently stating:
“He is having a fantastic season. He proves he is a complete player, both on and off the ball. He scores goals and has the determination to keep improving. He is one of Marseille’s key players.”
Given his importance to the team and his contract running until 2028, prying him away from the French club may prove challenging. However, with seven goals and four assists in Ligue 1 this season, Henrique could be a valuable addition for Forest should they secure his signature.
Do Forest Need Another Winger?
Nuno already has strong options on the wings, with Callum Hudson-Odoi and Anthony Elanga both impressing this season. However, if Forest qualify for European competition, squad depth will be crucial.
Henrique’s performances suggest he could be a significant asset for Forest, adding further attacking quality to their squad as they prepare for a potentially historic campaign.
