BREKING NEWS: Damian Lillard Questions Late No-Call as Bucks Fall to Rockets: Was It Another Officiating Blunder?

The Milwaukee Bucks found themselves at the center of officiating controversy yet again after their 114-110 loss to the Houston Rockets on Monday night. This time, it was Damian Lillard who felt he was on the wrong side of a crucial no-call in the game’s final moments.

With less than 10 seconds remaining and the Bucks trailing by three, Lillard pulled up for a potential game-tying three-pointer. As he released the shot, Rockets guard Jalen Green appeared to make contact with his shooting arm. Lillard stumbled as the ball clanged off the rim, but no whistle was blown. The Rockets secured the rebound and iced the game at the free-throw line, leaving Lillard visibly frustrated.

“I felt the contact, and I thought it was pretty obvious,” Lillard said postgame. “At that point in the game, you expect the officials to make the right call. I should’ve been at the line shooting three.”

The Bucks’ star guard was not alone in his frustration. Head coach Doc Rivers was seen voicing his displeasure with the officials after the final buzzer, though he stopped short of outright blaming them for the loss.

“We put ourselves in a tough spot, but I’d like to see that play again,” Rivers said. “It’s a physical game, but consistency is all you can ask for as a coach.”

This latest officiating controversy adds to a growing list of questionable calls that have haunted the Bucks this season. Just last month, Giannis Antetokounmpo was at the center of a similar no-call situation against the Denver Nuggets. The repeated issues have raised concerns among fans and analysts about whether the Bucks are being disproportionately impacted by officiating decisions.

While the NBA’s Last Two Minute Report may provide further clarity on whether the officials missed the call, it does little to change the outcome. The Bucks now shift their focus to their next matchup, hoping to bounce back and avoid any further referee-related frustrations.

As for Lillard, he remains adamant about the missed opportunity. “I just want a fair shot,” he said. “That’s all any player asks for.”
