JUST IN: Leeds United in Despair Over Worrying News About Star Player as Daniel Farke Gives Situation Update

Leeds United manager Daniel Farke is set to disclose the results of club captain Ethan Ampadu’s medical scan this afternoon, which will determine the extent of a knee cartilage injury suffered during training.
The Welsh midfielder missed Monday’s 3-1 win over Sheffield United, with Farke indicating post-match that surgery may be required to address the issue.
Farke clarified that the injury affects a different knee than the one that sidelined Ampadu earlier this season, a setback that kept him out of action for approximately 10 weeks.
Updates are also anticipated on striker Patrick Bamford (hamstring) and defender Max Wöber (knee), both still rehabilitating from separate injuries. Wöber recently underwent surgery to resolve a persistent knee problem.
Additionally, Farke will preview Leeds’ upcoming Championship clash against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday. Follow live updates from his press conference, starting at 2:15pm.
