Leeds United remain in a strong position for promotion despite their 1-1 draw with West Brom on Saturday. However, there is growing recognition that key squad changes may be necessary this summer to strengthen certain areas.
Leeds Held by West Brom but Maintain Promotion Push
Daniel Farke’s team had to settle for a frustrating draw in their lunchtime clash with West Brom, despite registering 15 shots. Only two of those efforts were on target, with Darnell Furlong’s equalizer canceling out Junior Firpo’s opening goal.
Despite the setback, Farke will be pleased with Leeds’ overall position as they push for a Premier League return. Regardless of the division they find themselves in next season, the club is already looking at potential signings to bolster the squad’s depth and competitiveness.
Leeds Targeting High-Profile Signings
Leeds have been linked with several marquee signings who could significantly enhance Farke’s project at Elland Road. Among them is Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn, a versatile attacker with the ability to play on either flank. The former Bayern Munich talent has impressed in Scotland, racking up 18 goals this season.
In addition, AC Milan loanee Tammy Abraham has emerged as a potential target. The English striker has struggled to find consistent form in Serie A but boasts valuable Premier League experience and a homegrown status that would make him an appealing addition should Leeds secure promotion.
With newly promoted teams often finding it difficult to stay in the top flight, Leeds appear determined to prepare adequately for the challenge ahead, keeping a close eye on reinforcements that could make a major impact.
