JUST IN: Texas Tornado: Steelers Legend’s Daughter Recounts Harrowing Ordeal

The Pittsburgh Steelers are renowned for their enduring legacy of stability, consistency, and championship success. With just three head coaches in 50 years and a remarkably limited number of starting quarterbacks, the organization holds deep reverence for its iconic figures. The mantra

“Once a Steeler, always a Steeler”

resonates powerfully, especially for those who have lifted the Lombardi Trophy.

Among these legends is Hall of Fame quarterback Terry Bradshaw, whose family recently faced a terrifying crisis when a tornado struck their Texas property. His daughter, Erin Bradshaw, shared a chilling account of the disaster, which left two horses injured—one fatally—and caused significant damage.

Erin described the early-morning chaos:

“Things turned chaotic around 5 a.m.—our sheds were flung around like toys. One shelter in our mare and foal pasture was destroyed. We lost a young horse, and a pregnant mare suffered a severe leg injury.”

Despite the devastation, she emphasized gratitude: “We’re heartbroken, but it could’ve been worse. Our home is intact, and we’re thankful for that.” She speculated the damage might have been caused by a small tornado.

Erin also expressed appreciation for the rapid response from her community, thanking Steve Owens and his crew for cleanup efforts, as well as veterinarians Weems and Stephens for emergency care.

While the Bradshaw family escaped physical harm, the event may mark the beginning of a pivotal chapter.

Terry Bradshaw, who turns 77 before the NFL season kicks off, faces retirement rumors similar to those surrounding his Fox Sports colleague Jimmy Johnson, who recently stepped down. As Erin focuses on rebuilding their ranch, the Steelers community continues to rally around one of their own, proving that the bonds forged in Pittsburgh endure far beyond the field.
