Leeds United are firmly in the race for promotion back to the Premier League, but their journey won’t be without obstacles—especially with multiple early kick-offs now confirmed for broadcast on Sky Sports.
Heading into the weekend, Leeds sit five points ahead of third place and are widely considered the favorites to secure automatic promotion. However, fans remain cautious, particularly as Burnley have the chance to temporarily close the gap to just two points today.
Leeds Fixtures Affected by Sky Sports Selections
Sky Sports has announced its latest TV selections for early April, impacting two of Leeds’ upcoming fixtures. Their trip to Luton Town was already scheduled for a 12:30 PM kick-off, but it has now been chosen for live coverage. At the same time, Leeds fans will be hoping for a favor from Frank Lampard’s Coventry City, who face Burnley in a key clash.
Additionally, Leeds’ midweek trip to Middlesbrough has been rescheduled, moving from a 7:45 PM kick-off to 8:00 PM, once again for live TV coverage.
This adds to an already packed schedule of early kick-offs for Leeds, with Portsmouth (A), QPR (A), Luton Town (A), and Plymouth Argyle (A) all set for early starts. More could follow when April’s final fixtures are confirmed for television coverage.
A Tough Challenge for Leeds
While it’s unclear whether Leeds genuinely struggle with early kick-offs or if it’s just an unfortunate coincidence, the situation is far from ideal. Manager Daniel Farke and his squad now face the challenge of adjusting to these demanding schedules, while dedicated away fans must prepare for long journeys at less convenient times.
Leeds remain in control of their promotion push, but Sky Sports’ latest selections have certainly made their path a little more challenging.
