BREAKING NEWS: Longtime Alabama Commit Plans Return Visit to FSU Football

Florida State is making a strong push to flip one of the top prospects in the 2027 recruiting class.

Four-star defensive end Jabarrius Garror has been committed to Alabama since July of last year, but he remains open to other programs, including the Seminoles. After attending a junior day event in Tallahassee this past January, Garror has now scheduled a return visit for the spring.

According to 247Sports’ Tom Loy, Garror has mapped out visits to five schools, starting with Florida State on March 22. He also plans to check out Alabama, Georgia, Texas A&M, and South Carolina in the coming months.

During his last trip to FSU, Garror appeared to have a productive conversation with head coach Mike Norvell.

The standout defensive end is coming off a dominant sophomore season, racking up an impressive 104 tackles, 56 tackles for loss, 21.5 sacks, four forced fumbles, and five pass deflections. He posted double-digit tackles in four games, including a season-high 14 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and four sacks in a 60-0 victory over LeFlore High School on September 6.

Standing at 6-foot-2 and 220 pounds, Garror is ranked as the No. 34 overall prospect, the No. 7 edge rusher, and the No. 2 player in Alabama for the 2027 class, per 247Sports.

Florida State currently has one verbal commitment in its 2027 class, which is ranked No. 4 nationally. The Seminoles previously secured a pledge from defensive back

Jaylen Scott.
