BREAKING NEWS:NBA Makes Historic Announcement After Cavaliers’ Victory Over Grizzlies

The Cleveland Cavaliers have been one of the biggest success stories of the NBA season. With a league-best 56-10 record, they continue to dominate behind the strong play of their star backcourt duo. Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland are the only backcourt pair in the NBA both averaging over 20 points per game—Mitchell with 24.2 and Garland with 21.0. Their stellar performances, along with Evan Mobley’s consistency in the frontcourt, have fueled the Cavaliers’ winning ways.

On Friday night, Cleveland extended their hot streak with a 133-124 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. That victory marked their 16th consecutive win, setting a new franchise record, as announced by the NBA.

This is the second time this season the Cavaliers have won at least 15 straight games. They have already secured a playoff spot and clinched the Central Division title. With 16 games left in the regular season, they hold an 8.5-game lead over the second-place Boston Celtics. Cleveland also boasts the NBA’s best home record at 30-4 inside Rocket Arena. Their 16-game winning streak is the longest of any team this season.

Star guard Donovan Mitchell missed Friday’s game due to a groin injury, but his absence isn’t expected to be long-term. Head coach Kenny Atkinson praised Mitchell’s toughness but emphasized the importance of caution. “It’s definitely not something huge…not a huge deal. But I think we err on the side of caution, but he always wants to play,” Atkinson said.

With their record-setting streak and strong playoff positioning, the Cavaliers are proving to be a legitimate championship contender this season.
