GOOD NEWS: Premier League Announcement Delights Nottingham Forest Fans

Nottingham Forest are thriving under Nuno Espirito Santo in the Premier League this season.

Currently, the team is preparing for an FA Cup clash against Brighton while sitting third in the league table. Several players have been standout performers throughout the 2024/25 campaign.

Chris Wood has earned praise for his contributions, while Gary Neville has expressed admiration for Elliot Anderson. Additionally, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Murillo, Nikola Milenkovic, and Morgan Gibbs-White have all been in excellent form.

As domestic football returns, Forest fans have received even more good news ahead of their upcoming match against Brighton.

Premier League Announces Player of the Month Nominees

Nottingham Forest’s strong performances in March, which saw them win both of their league matches, have resulted in two players being nominated for the Premier League’s Player of the Month award.

Nikola Milenkovic is among the nominees, with the Serbian defender continuing to impress. He was outstanding in Forest’s resolute display against Manchester City, helping secure the team’s 12th clean sheet of the season. He also found the net in the 4-2 victory over Ipswich.

Joining him on the shortlist is Anthony Elanga, who scored twice in the win over Ipswich. The Swedish winger has improved significantly since the turn of the year, bouncing back from a slow start to the season.

Milenkovic and Elanga will compete for the award against Jean-Richer Bellegarde, Bruno Fernandes, Declan Rice, and Jan Paul van Hecke.

Milenkovic’s Impressive Stats in 2024/25

Milenkovic has been a rock at the back for Forest, proving to be a bargain signing at just £12 million. In an era of inflated transfer fees, his acquisition last summer has been a masterstroke.

Milenkovic’s Premier League Stats 2024/25:

Appearances: 28

Aerial Duels Won: 110

Clearances: 140

Tackles: 36

Having featured in every league game except the season opener, Milenkovic has been instrumental in Forest’s defensive improvements. While it’s rare for a central defender to claim the Player of the Month award, his performances in

March make him a strong contender.
