Wizards coach notes the “biggest issue” after the team’s blowout loss to the Celtics and gives them two pieces of advice.
In their game against the Washington Wizards on Sunday night, the Boston Celtics started the game without three starters and had no trouble dispatching the poorest club in the Eastern Conference.
Without Derrick White, Kristaps Porzingis, and Jaylen Brown, Boston got to work, but this was nothing new for the Celtics. Boston has gone 6-0 and maintained its winning streak in games this season when two or more starters have not been available, thanks once more to its depth. Sam Hauser was called upon by Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla to enter the starting lineup, which swiftly troubled the Wizards and interim head coach Brian Keefe.

Tatum and Hauser combined for 46 points at halftime, giving the Celtics an 81-53 lead against the Wizards. Hauser’s seven three-pointers in the first half of the game set a new franchise record.
