After Ohio State’s defeat against eventual champion Michigan in the previous season, there were growing calls for Day’s resignation, but it appears that Buckeye management is counting on Day to guide them back to success in the upcoming campaign.
According to Andrew Gould of The Spun, the Ohio State football coaching staff recently suffered a setback when it was announced that running back coach Tony Alford would be departing to accept the same position at Michigan.
Ryan Day is now being completely honest about the loss of one of his coaches—to an intense opponent, no less.
Day stated, “We’re in the process of finding replacements.” “We are enthusiastic about the group we have already picked and will take great care in the process. The good news, in my opinion, is that we’re not forced to decide quickly based on hiring, the portal, or anything else of the kind,” Day remarked, as reported by Gould.
