Alabama bolstered its 2026 recruiting class on Thursday night with a commitment from standout interior offensive lineman Chris Booker.
The 6-foot-4, 284-pound prospect announced his decision on social media, declaring his commitment to Alabama with the message: “1000% committed, Recruitment shut down!”
Booker, an Atlanta native from Hapeville Charter School, was a significant pickup for the Crimson Tide, especially considering his other offers from SEC rivals Kentucky and Mississippi State.
He becomes Alabama’s second commitment in the 2026 class and the first offensive lineman to pledge to the program, joining Gadsden, Ala., cornerback Zyan Gibson.
“This is surreal,” Booker told Bama247 upon making his announcement. “It’s a dream I worked for and achieved.”
According to Bama247, Booker’s strong connection with offensive line coach Chris Kapilovic played a key role in his early decision to commit to Alabama.
