Stoke City have had a disappointing 2023/24 season and are still firmly in the relegation zone as the season comes to a conclusion.
Stoke City are presently 19th in the Championship table, two points clear of relegation with eight games remaining. The season has been one to forget, but with survival, the Potters will hopefully be able to look ahead once more.

Despite the hardships of this year, some intriguing talents have emerged. Some of them may have prospects beyond Championship football.

Three Stoke City players have the potential to advance to the Premier League in the future.

Wouter Burger
Burger, a Dutch midfielder who joined Stoke City from FC Basel last summer, is one of the club’s few bright spots. His importance to the squad is reinforced by the fact that he has previously captained the Potters on several occasions.

Burger has previously played at a high level in Switzerland and Holland, and he has also competed in European football. In the next years, he should undoubtedly advance to the top level.

Jun-ho Bae, a South Korean attacking midfielder

Bae has been a regular at young level for his country, and if his progress and development are properly controlled, he has the potential to play in the Premier League in the future.

Junior Tchamadeu
Tchamadeu, a Cameroonian international, is another player that has to improve significantly. After breaking through at Colchester United and advancing from League Two to the Championship at such a young age, many anticipate him to test his abilities at the highest level in the coming years.

Tchamadeu can play as a wing-back or full-back and will be anxious to establish himself as the Potters’ go-to right-back before considering a move to the top flight.
