The Golden State Warriors continued their hot streak on Tuesday night with a dominant victory over the Charlotte Hornets. Golden State cruised to a 128-92 win, at one point leading by as many as 39 points while resting their starters in the fourth quarter. Charlotte was shorthanded, missing their star player LaMelo Ball, which only added to the Warriors’ advantage.
Stephen Curry led the way for Golden State with 15 points, four rebounds, and six assists, while Draymond Green contributed across the board with 15 points, six rebounds, six assists, three steals, and two blocks.
Beyond securing another win, the Warriors also made history. With this victory, Golden State became just the fifth franchise in NBA history to reach 3,000 regular-season wins. They now join the elite company of the Boston Celtics (3,676), Los Angeles Lakers (3,585), Philadelphia 76ers (3,121), and New York Knicks (3,011) as the only teams to achieve this milestone.
Founded in 1949, the Warriors have experienced both highs and lows, but their legacy has been cemented, particularly in the Curry era. The franchise boasts seven NBA championships and holds the record for the most wins in a single season (73) during their historic 2015-16 campaign. Since the 2014-15 season, Golden State has been the NBA’s most dominant team, winning four titles and solidifying itself as one of the league’s greatest dynasties, largely thanks to Curry’s leadership.
While this historic achievement adds to the Warriors’ decorated history, their focus now shifts to building on this success and making another championship push this season.
