Henderson was the ninth overall pick by the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2020. The Jags traded him to Carolina a year later.
Henderson has spent the past three seasons with the Panthers. Last year, he recorded 39 tackles in 12 games. The previous season, he recorded 58 tackles, two interceptions, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery.
In addition to Henderson, the Texans signed former No. 3 selection Jeff Okudah this summer. Okudah and Henderson would join Derek Stingley Jr., the No. 3 selection in 2022, in Houston’s secondary.
Last season, the Texans’ defense ranked eleventh in points allowed and fourteenth in yards allowed per game.
