JUST IN: Coco Gauff Playfully Corrects Lyric Mistake After Miami Open Camera Message

Coco Gauff recently made a humorous correction after mistakenly quoting Dominic Fike’s lyrics while signing the camera at the Miami Open. The American tennis star secured her place in the fourth round of the WTA 1000 tournament after defeating Maria Sakkari 6-2, 6-4, setting up a clash with Magda Linette in the next round.

Following her victory over Sakkari, Gauff signed the camera with a line from Dominic Fike’s song Sunburn, writing:

“When I die bury me in the sun – Fike.”

Shortly after, she realized the mistake and took to Instagram to correct it. Reposting a fan page’s image of her signing the camera, she humorously clarified:

“Lol lay **** not bury,” wrote Gauff.

Before competing in Miami, Gauff participated in Indian Wells, where she was eliminated in the third round by Belinda Bencic (3-6, 6-3, 6-4).

Beyond her on-court performances, Gauff is also known for her fashion choices. After her second-round victory in Miami, she spoke to the Tennis Channel about her blue nail color, which perfectly matched the Miami Open stadium. She revealed that her “mystery boyfriend” had selected the shade, seemingly to align with the tournament’s aesthetic.

“Well, yes and no. My boyfriend picked this color out, but I think he did it on purpose with the Miami vibes. I definitely wanted a brighter color. Usually, I go for crazy designs, but I decided to keep it simple,” Gauff explained.

She added:

“So I have my nails, I have my natural hair, and my little outfit. I’m trying to keep it simple, very demure. It won’t last for long because I do like the designs and the hair and everything.”

Gauff began her 2025 season at the United Cup, where she helped Team USA secure the title with a 2-0 victory over Poland in the final.
