The Detroit Pistons wrap up their regular season on the road Sunday against the Milwaukee Bucks. This marks the second meeting between the two teams in three days, following the Bucks’ 125-119 victory on Friday. With that loss, the Pistons secured the No. 6 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs, while the Bucks locked in the No. 5 seed. Since the playoff standings are already set, Sunday’s game carries little significance—meaning both teams could opt to rest key players.
For Detroit, star point guard Cade Cunningham is listed as probable with a left knee injury. While he’s expected to play, the Pistons may choose to limit his minutes or hold him out entirely.
Meanwhile, Ausar Thompson (left knee) and Isaiah Stewart (right knee) have been ruled out. Jaden Ivey remains sidelined with a left fibula fracture, though he could return in the playoffs if Detroit makes a deep run.
On the Bucks’ side, Milwaukee is playing it safe with several key players ahead of the postseason. Star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is listed as doubtful, along with Kevin Porter Jr., Taurean Prince, Gary Trent Jr., and A.J. Green.
Additionally, Damian Lillard, Jericho Sims, Brook Lopez, and Bobby Portis have been ruled out, while Kyle Kuzma and Ryan Rollins are both probable.
With both teams prioritizing health over a meaningless game, expect limited action from the stars.
