Adidas Originals has joined forces with Chicago’s own DTLR to debut a special-edition sneaker that pays homage to the vibrant culture, sports legacy, and unity of the Windy City. The adidas x DTLR Chicago Superstar isn’t just footwear—it’s a statement piece that honors Chicago’s rich traditions and community spirit.
The design pulls directly from the city’s iconic sports teams, blending bold colorways like Bulls red, Cubs blue, White Sox black and white, Bears orange, and Blackhawks-inspired yellow-green. A unique Windy City logo on the heel grounds the sneaker in local pride, while sky blue and red accents nod to the Chicago flag, appearing on the outsole, tongue, sockliner, and pull tab.
This collab fuses classic style with contemporary flair, spotlighting Chicago’s resilience, creativity, and championship mindset. Made with premium materials and a timeless silhouette, the Chicago Superstar is made for collectors and locals alike.
To mark the launch, adidas and DTLR will host SUPERSTAR DAY, a community-driven event aimed at revitalizing local spaces. One key initiative includes repainting the gym at A. Philip Randolph Elementary School, using the same colors and themes reflected in the sneaker’s design.
