The Denver Nuggets still have a chance to secure the Western Conference’s top seed.

However, they are no longer eligible for playoff seeding.

They need to be healthy when it counts, therefore Nikola Jokic may have to sit out a few games over the regular season’s closing stretch.

Recently, the reigning NBA Finals MVP stated that he experiences wrist discomfort every time he shoots.

However, Jokic downplayed the injury, noting that he is used to playing through discomfort.

Everyone is banged up at this time in the season

However, this does not mean the Nuggets should take it lightly.

They’re already dealing with Jamal Murray’s ongoing illnesses, so they don’t want their top two players out with injuries when it’s most important.

The Nuggets haven’t been as dominant this season as they were last year, but they should remain one of the top NBA title contenders.

Mike Malone’s club is designed for a seven-game series, and they’ve done it before.

Jokic is the finest player in the game, and even when he isn’t at full health or struggling with his shot, he always finds a way to make a difference.

His rebounding, playmaking, and ability to see through defenses make him the perfect triple-threat player, and hopefully this lingering ailment will not affect his performance in the playoffs.
