Since gaining promotion back in 2022, Nottingham Forest has brought on so many players that it is frequently difficult to keep track of them all.

Since Nottingham Forest won the Championship play-off final, the City Ground has seen an unprecedented roster revamp, with players like Andre Ayew, Gustavo Scarpa, Serge Aurier, and Orel Mangala coming and going.

During that costly revamp, one new player never really had an opportunity to make an impression, but following this week’s performance, Nuno Espirito Santo must have taken notice.

In the midst of that previously stated hiring spree, Nottingham Forest acquired Omar Richards from Bayern Munich for £8.5 million.

The Englishman looked quite well down the left side and assisted Joao Carvalho, who got his first of the season after nine outings.

Richards appeared full of energy down the left side as he completed an outstanding 87% of his passes and delivered three accurate crosses, according to SofaScore.

The fact that the Londoner finished 90 minutes is what is most satisfying to observe, though.

Nuno intends to observe Omar Richards.
No matter what tier Nottingham Forest plays in next season, Richards should be able to compete against Ola Aina and Harry Toffolo if he continues to produce at this level.

Nuno is currently dealing with a number of issues, including point deductions and the departure of Taiwo Awoniyi, but this week’s extremely encouraging performance from the £8.5 million player in Greece undoubtedly got his attention.
