As their “relationship grows,” Huddersfield Town announced the departure of another important player to join Kevin Nagle’s Sacramento Republic.
HUDDERSFIELD Town forward Kieran Phillips has been loaned to Sacramento Republic of the USL Championship.
With only five games played in the USL Championship season, Republic—owned by Town owner and chairman Kevin Nagle—would benefit greatly from the loan as it will provide Phillips more playing time and help him further his football career.
It’s a terrific day and a beginning step toward growing the partnership between these two great teams,” Nagle said.
“This loan is a great example of how we will continue to develop synergies both on and off the pitch. Kennedy is a talented young player that we think will be a good fit for Republic FC as the club pursues silver in the USL Championship.”
In August of last year, Phillips signed a season-long loan with Shrewsbury Town, after the League One team turned down offers from other EFL lower tier teams.
