In what turned out to be Paul Heckingbottom’s last game at Turf Moor, Hide Ad Burnley easily defeated the opposition, winning 5-0.
Even though the Clarets have only triumphed twice since that early December match, Kompany feels the players’ efforts have been worthy of more.
He remarked, “I just hope we’ve improved again.”
Naturally, there are differences since their manager changed, but we don’t think we have anything to lose, even when you talk about a must-win situation.
We were written off around fifteen games ago, yet we’re still in the game and we’re still battling. All we need to do is play with the same intensity as the previous games.
