Before the Preston match, QPR’s star player will have a fitness test; he might not play.
Prior to QPR’s crucial home match against Preston, Michael Frey will have a fitness test.
The striker, who hasn’t played for Rangers in the last two games, trained this week and will be evaluated before manager Marti Cifuentes selects the team for the encounter.
“He’s still a doubt for tomorrow’s game,” Cifuentes clarified. Due to a minor muscle ailment, he was unable to play in the previous two games.
“We need to decide for tomorrow’s game because he has been improving throughout the week.”
Because Leeds and Coventry, two teams vying for promotion, are the opponents in Rangers’ final two games of the season, this Saturday’s encounter appears more important for the relegation-threatened team.
Cifuentes countered, saying, “We have shown in my five months here that we are capable of defeating anyone, even though we have dropped a few games.
Because there are always unexpected outcomes, that’s why the Championship is such an intriguing league.
“All we know is that we have an opportunity to win three points against Preston, which may be crucial for us.
“Three points would be extremely important to us in this case. For us, winning would be a significant step.
