According to an arrest document obtained by Orlando NBC affiliate WESH, the shooting occurred as a result of a scuffle outside the Cabana Live nightclub.
Authorities said a 16-year-old suspect who was not participating in the altercation opened fire on the skirmish, injuring ten people. All victims are likely to survive.
Police said a security man halted the mayhem by confronting the shooter shortly after rounds were fired.
According to the sheriff’s office, the young shooter was apprehended and charged with attempted homicide and many other weapons violations.
Dell was one of several bright lights during the Texans’ breakthrough season in 2023. He had more than 700 yards and seven touchdowns in 11 games until his season was cut short in December due to a fractured fibula.
