Hull City now make their first effort to hire Premier League 4-3-3 manager who was on PL radars.

The Tigers recently fired Liam Rosenior in a contentious move.

Despite being nominated for Championship Manager of the Year and losing out on the play-offs by only three points, Hull City ruthlessly sacked Liam Rosenior. They’ve apparently already begun looking for a successor.

The decision to fire Rosenior has split opinion. On the one hand, he led the Tigers to within one victory of the play-offs in his first full season after helping them avoid relegation the previous season. On the other hand, he eventually failed to reward Hull’s transfer support, despite signing Fabio Carvalho on loan, by finishing outside of the top six.

Acun Ilıcalı, chairman and owner, stated on the club’s official website that this was the most difficult choice he has had to make as chairman of this fantastic football club. No matter how difficult the circumstances, I must detach personal feeling from these situations and keep the club’s long-term objective at the forefront of my mind.

He then explained the reasoning behind the move, saying: “However, it has become clear that our visions for the future are not aligned, and I believe that now is the time to make a change.” Our mentality is clear: we will continue to move this club forward, and I will be open and straightforward with our supporters.

Having said that, he has now directed his focus elsewhere. According to the Telegraph, Hull has made contact to sign Tim Walter, and negotiations are underway. The former Hamburg manager has been unemployed since leaving the club in February, and he appeared to be on Nottingham Forest’s radar at one point before losing out to Nuno Espirito Santo. He may now get an opportunity to play English football at Hull.
